Who we are

En2MG was founded in 2025 by Dr. Dan Loughlin, an environmental computational scientist. Before establishing En2MG, Dan served as a Research Scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he led the GLIMPSE Project.

Uses of GLIMPSE include: (i) quantifying greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions, (ii) projecting those emissions into the future for wide-ranging socio-economic-technology scenarios, (iii) identifying cost-effective and robust GHG mitigation strategies, and (iv) and estimating air quality and health co-benefits of GHG mitigation. GLIMPSE users include researchers and analysts at universities, in federal and state governments, in non-profits, and in financial firms.

Dan’s motivation in the GLIMPSE work, and subsequently in the formation of En2MG, has been to improve decisionmaking at the nexus of energy and the environment by providing the tools and information needed by decision makers.
